This portrait of Johnny Depp also was part of the "Time 100 Issue". Johnny has such and unusual masculine face, almost teenager like. He makes his home in France now and I thought an abstracted Effiel Tower in the background would make it relevant. Red is a seductive color and I felt he had a provocative look in his eye and a red background would enhance the sex appeal of this picture.
