This Portrait of Elvis Costello was commisioned by Rolling Stone for their second edition of their "Immortals" issue. I was fortunate to have been given a choice of which artist, on their selected list, to paint. Amid, the Art Director, mentioned Elvis Costello and I was sold. I love his look, especially his early years when he had this "Buddy Holly Punk" appeal. It doesn't hurt to also be a big fan of his music.
