This portrait of The Sex Pistols was also part of the second edition of the Rolling Stone's "Immortals" issue. I thought getting the chance to paint a young Elvis Costello was unique but when they gave me another choice and The Sex Pistols were still available, I ran with it. I approached this with the same intensity that they played with... loud and sloppy. I keep baiting Rolling Stone to let me have a crack at more musicians. So I hope I'll be having more portraits of bands and musicians on this site.
