Jim
Carrey
—June, 1998
Originally commissioned by ESQUIRE to accompany a critique of the Jim
Carrey film "The Truman Show". This illustrates the moment
in which Jim Carrey-Truman-has just become aware that his environment
isn't what he thought it was. You are seeing his reaction from the other
side of a one way mirror.
I found a large piece of glass in may father's garage just as I was
becoming desperate to shoot photographic reference for the hand on the
mirror. So I got lucky, just in time for my deadline, to have the hand
pressed up against the mirror effect.
