Entertainment Weekly was doing a year-end roundup of the best of 2007 and Cate Blanchett was specifically recognized for her breakthrough performance in "I'm Not There". She played Bob Dylan, circa 1965. My intention was to capture an essence of Dylan with the great feminine qualities of Blanchett. After trying many poses I settled on one that felt pretty contentious to me. The way Dylan viewed things at that time.
